Handikram is a family owned and managed business directed by Andy Cuthbertson, offering services to Blue chip companies, Principal contractors, Design Consultants and Architects.

Andy Cuthbertson has over 30 years and experience within the industry and sectors that Handikram provides its services.
He has exceptional knowledge and ability to understand a client’s requirements and to smoothly and efficiently manage all parties involved to achieve the targets and goals of each project. His Competency with NEC & JCT contracts allows for controlled and responsible commercial management.
Andy has full focus on creating a safe and environmentally suitable workplace for his staff and all other parties involved, his attention to detail and achieving the best quality of workmanship is always evident.
The company holds accreditation with RISQS and has numerous product codes which
demonstrates the company’s robust systems and process that are compliant with RISQS and the railway infrastructures requirements.
Handikram is also accredited with Constructionline Gold membership thus giving client buyers access to Handikram with the knowledge that the company is a safe, responsible and reliable supplier to choose. This also means that Handikram goes above and beyond the PAS 91 requirements, and meets the Common Assessment Standard.
The business has an in depth and fully compliant company management system which adheres to ISO standards and the business is working towards ISO status with a UKAS approved body.
Health and safety policies are constantly monitored and reviewed, site auditing is carried out at Director level and the Company health and safety managing consultant.
Robust Processes and systems ensure that detailed records are kept regarding Quality assurance. These systems are fully auditable and documentation such as Inspection and test plans, quality check sheets and calibrations certificates are maintained.
At Handikram the environmental impact of the business is taken into consideration and annual objectives are set to reduce our impact on the environment. The company has a waste carriers license and the aim is to recycle to a target of 90% or more of all waste materials.
Our staff are fundamental to the business and have worked with or alongside the Director Andy for many years. Staff competencies and training are regularly reviewed to ensure that our staff have a rounded knowledge and specific training to enable Handikram to deliver the services that it provides.
Handikram has a database of experienced sub-contractors that Andy has had a long relationship with. Each sub-contractor goes through a rigorous Handikram approval process prior to achieving approved supplier status.
Involvement within a project can vary from Constructability input at design stages to project managing the contract, dealing with the commercial, legal, Design process management, on site delivery, programme, HSEQ, KPI reporting and project assurance documentation.
