The Principal Contractor reached out to Handikram to install a new NWR access point in North London. The project was
part of the NWR safe access for workers strategy
to improve access to the railway infrastructure.
This particular access point contained an existing vehicle access gate only. The improvement works included refurbishing this area and improved retaining to the embankment.
A new pedestrian access point was installed as part of the project. This entailed creating a new section of cess walkway, a set of concrete steps, landings and GRP handrails leading up the existing embankment to trackside.
The project was carefully planned and completed over a 4-week period to a high standard of quality, safety and exceeded our client expectations.
